I think this was actually the Witcher book that I enjoyed the most， don’t get me wrong， I enjoyed the others but I sometimes got lost amongst the switching perspectives and various characters， this one was easier to follow for me。

Honestly a bit disappointed with this book。 I absolutely loved the rest of the series， but it just ended in a really weird note。 Almost as if the author just got tired of writing it and wanted it to end。 I still recommend reading the series， but keep in mind that you might be let down a bit at the end。

Another fantastic adventure in the witcher world！ A spin off from the main story， but a great adventure in sapkowski creation。 Being a prequel and almost entirely separated from the main saga， gives that （for me） so much required taste of a more pure witcher experience。 The story is captivating， the world is interesting as usual and。。 There is more ;）

I’m a big fan of the Witcher series but this book let me down to be honest， it felt like there was too much going on but also felt empty。

This was such a flop for me。 The writing style was very different than previous books in the series， so much in Latin or as asides that didn’t need to be there。 The pacing was very slow， and the details excruciatingly unnecessary。 I was hoping for a fun dip back into the Witcher world after the disappointing ending to Lady of the Lake， and this was not it。 It took me six months to get thru this！ But at least now I’ve fully finished the series and can move on with my life。

I’ve been dragging my feet…reading slowly， taking every word and not knowing what to expect after the previous book， knowing this was the last time I could read this last book for the first time。 I am sad I’m finished， I wanted to go on more adventures with Geralt and Dandelion， killing monsters， travelling， loving。 Now only the game remains。 Fare well Geralt！

Gdy wyszedł Sezon Burz - a dla przypomnienia było to po 13 latach od ukazania się ostatniej wiedźmińskiej książki， a także po premierze dwóch wyśmienitych， obsypanych pochwałami i nagrodami gier komputerowych - czułam pewien niesmak。 Nie wiem jak wy， ale osobiście wyczuwałam szybki skok na sporą kasę， tak jak na przykład kolejne części Kevina samego w domu， czy rozciągnięty na trzy filmy Hobbit。Tak jak podejrzewałam， w Sezonie burz jest wszystko， co znamy ze starego wiedźmina， ale nie ma też nic Gdy wyszedł Sezon Burz - a dla przypomnienia było to po 13 latach od ukazania się ostatniej wiedźmińskiej książki， a także po premierze dwóch wyśmienitych， obsypanych pochwałami i nagrodami gier komputerowych - czułam pewien niesmak。 Nie wiem jak wy， ale osobiście wyczuwałam szybki skok na sporą kasę， tak jak na przykład kolejne części Kevina samego w domu， czy rozciągnięty na trzy filmy Hobbit。Tak jak podejrzewałam， w Sezonie burz jest wszystko， co znamy ze starego wiedźmina， ale nie ma też nic nowego。 To tak jak ze znajomymi， znoszonymi butami， które z przyjemnością zakładamy na nogi， ale widzimy， że nie są najlepszej jakości。 Stare schematy odtworzone w starym sosie - wiedźmin spotyka czarodziejkę， wiedźmin ma romans z czarodziejką， wiedźmin spotyka potwora， wiedźmin zabija potwora， wiedźmin pojawia się na dworze， wiedźmin jest zniesmaczony dworskimi intrygami na każdym kroku。 Fabuła nie jest wybitna， a główny zwrot akcji zostaje wyjawiony w opisie książki z tyłu。 Geralt traci wiedźmińskie miecze i przez całą książkę próbuje je odzyskać。 Reszta wydaje się być zbiorem bardzo luźno powiązanych ze sobą opowiadań。Kerack jest młodym państewkiem， w którym król postanowił wydziedziczyć chyba wszystkich sensownych następców tronu i wychodzi za mąż za młódkę， pozbawiając prawa do tronu królewskie dzieci z poprzednich związków。 Później się dziwi， że wszyscy knują i spiskują， by odzyskać należne im miejsce。 Wiedźmin trafia do stolicy wpierw przedzierając się przez stróżówkę pilnowaną przez bandę chyba najobrzydliwiej przedstawionych kobiet w historii literatury。 Sapkowski poszedł na łatwiznę znaną z komedii najgorszego sortu: strażniczki na wyścigi wypuszczają głośno gazy i bekają， a potem żrą kapustę czy co tam innego， by powtórzyć wyczyn; są grube， głupie i muskularne， a na dodatek niezmiernie brzydkie。 Czytając te fragmenty trudno nie czuć zażenowania。 Oczywiście to te babsztyle gubią wiedźmińskie miecze。Później jest coraz bardziej stereotypowo - wiedźmin trafia w sam środek brudnej polityki i spisków， romansuje z piękną i głupio okrutną czarodziejką， a później zostaje wynajęty do wyjaśnienia zagadkowych rzezi na ludności kilku wsi， tudzież do zabicia potwora。 Szkoda， że ten najbardziej wstrząsający wątek magów z Rissbergu zostaje pośpiesznie porzucony na rzecz przygody na rzece。 Historia lisiej demonicy jest urzekająca， jednak trwa naprawdę długo， ale prawie w ogóle nie popycha akcji do przodu i wydaje się zbędna。 Ta historia lepiej by sobie poradziła jako osobne opowiadanie。Owszem， czytało się nieźle i szybko， dostajemy dużą dawkę świetnej akcji， fantastyczny klimat， jednak zabrakło głębi i zaplanowanej konstrukcji。 Niby jest wątek główny， ale momentami wydaje się być zupełnie niepotrzebny。 Co chwilę zaskakują nas cudowne wypadki - Geralt gdzie się nie odwróci， tam spotyka go jakieś niezwykłe wydarzenie， a zakończenie rozczarowuje kompletnym deus ex machina。 W każdym przypadku Geralt może się popisać męstwem， zimną krwią i umiejętnością walki， ale również pewną naiwnością i nieporadnością。Czas akcji osadza się gdzieś między dwoma pierwszymi zbiorami opowiadań， które moim zdaniem były o wiele lepsze， niż sama saga。 Geralt nie jest jeszcze aż tak zgorzkniały i doświadczony， jednak wydaje się， że daleko mu do tamtego Geralta sprzed lat。 Może to dlatego， że minęły chwile pierwszego zauroczenia？ A może dlatego， że Sapkowski nie do końca umie kończyć swoje opowieści？ Bo według mnie im dalej w sagę o wiedźminie， tym gorzej。 I kolejna książka o wiedźminie tylko potwierdza， że autor powinien dać sobie spokój z dojeniem tytułu， bo gry robią to o wiele lepiej od niego。 Niech wymyśla coś nowego， a genialnego。 Bo potrafi。 。。。more
